FAQs for you . . .
Why Water Bottles? Water bottles are the perfect size for guest soaps and they have unique shapes, sizes, and impressions. Not all water bottles are the same so you get a different look depending on the brand of water bottle used. Besides, anyone can make rose shaped soaps or heart shaped soaps (we know… we make em’, too!) but a truly creative mind can take an ordinary object and turn it into something special . . . like oh . . . guest soap.
The Backwash Effect: Now, we know there are a few of you out there wondering . . . guest soap made from used water bottles, what about backwash? NO FEAR! We sterilize all the water bottles before we pour the soap into them. So there is no backwash effect to worry about.
Spare Parts: Sounds like something from a Mary Shelley novel. What do we do with the rest of the bottles and the plastic pieces we don’t use? Recycle . . . what else? After creating each batch of Water Bottle Soap we take them to the recycling plant for processing so that they can become other plastic goods. Think of it this way… that bottle of water on your desk, we can take that same bottle that held your drink, work our magic on it to create a signature Water Bottle Soap and then send it to the recycling plant with all its other friends, where it is turned back into the raw materials that are used to make other non-food quality plastic products. Recycle, reduce and reuse!
Basics of Bases: Our soaps are made from the highest quality ingredients. We have a wide variety of soap bases to choose from: Shea Butter, White Glycerin, Olive Oil, and Clear Glycerin. Our soap bases contain no animal byproducts, so they meet vegan standards and are Kosher. Click here to view our soap base ingredients: Soap Bases
The Anti Bacteria of it all: According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), antibacterial soaps are not necessary, but washing your hands thoroughly with ordinary soap and warm water is one of the most effective ways to ward off infection. In the first known comprehensive analysis of whether antibacterial soaps work better than plain soaps, Allison Aiello of the University of Miami School of Public Health and her team found that washing hands with an antibacterial soap was no more effective in preventing infectious illness than plain soap. Moreover, antibacterial soaps at formulations sold to the public do not remove any more bacteria from the hands during washing than plain soaps. Reduce, recycle and reuse. . . GO GREEN! Being eco-friendly is part of our slogan, but are we blowing hot air? No, honestly our company is currently 50% green. By using water bottles we save them from becoming excess waste in our landfills. We make sure that the water bottles that we collect, whether they are used as soap molds or not, are sent off to proper recycling facilities. We are in constant search of "greener" solutions to wrap and package our soap while keeping with our design concept. We take great care in making sure that in the process of making our soaps, packaging and shipping, we reduce waste, recycle where possible and reuse whenever necessary.
